Iron Age Bottle Opener

Found during the excavation of an ancient ceremonial firepit in northern Scotland,  these fire ravaged openers are thought to have been used in primitive initiation rites.  Following the opening of his first beer, a young man threw his opener into the fire.  He was then encouraged by his intoxicated elders to retrieve the opener.  Given the nature of the celebration and the size of the fire, few were able to do so - leaving us with this fascinating, albeit untrue, legacy of legend and metal artifacts.

Not making these anymore
